Describing the difference between textures of objects in your art can be tough. Spend some time with Holly and discover the aspects to look for to paint believable metallic objects. This 2 day workshop will start with drawing and then using objects from life, dive into painting. It is open to watercolor, acrylic and oil.

Learn how to use the dexterity of your hands and the bristles in your brush. One brush can be more expressive then a whole arsenal of your teeny-weenie’s. Bring confidence into your work because you have the knowledge of how to use your tools of your trade…. Your Brushes!

Learn the trade secrets to making your faces, and most importantly your features, look realistic. With a breakdown of face and feature alignments and detailed description of drawing eyes, noses and mouths, you will get the proportion in your portraits you need with minimal effort. Top off with a few masculine and feminine traits secrets and your portraits will be full of pizzazz!

A two day breakdown of how to mix proper skin color’s! Learn Holly’s tried and true system of identifying and creating lush, beautiful skin in your work. Learn the properties that make skin believable. Open to acrylic and oil.

My monthly regular class program will be ending for the year in June and then starting up again in September. If you don’t want to have the 2 summer months off, or if you are a new student wanting to try an art class and finally have time this summer, I will be offering 2 classes a week.

Work in your favorite medium – oils, acrylics, pastels, drawing etc, or even a different medium each class. Classes are small and I will spend time with each student demonstrating and explaining the principles particular to the specific medium.
